The Living End is a modern lifestyle brand rooted in love for the diverse style seen in our native Los Angeles. We are committed to help minimize the waste effect of the apparel industry on the planet by curating a limited selection of new items, as well as the best up-cycled, reworked, and vintage treasures- giving new life to "forever" pieces. We don't believe in putting style into a box, anything goes as long as you look and feel your best. Our philosophy is lifestyle beyond limits;

It all started when…

A little girl from the San Fernando Valley played her favorite game- “store”. Using an electric keyboard as a cash wrap and her older sister’s clothes as merchandise, childhood friends were her first “customers” and helping them put together outfits was her joy.

Carrying her love for fashion into her adult life, our Founder and Creative Director Catherine Maravilla aims to reshape the long-held societal standards of style and luxury; using her ever evolving sartorial expertise as a springboard for the new, while keeping “forever” pieces as the core of the brand.

With the awareness that fast fashion is not only harming our planet but our individuality, The Living End products are primarily up-cycled, vintage, or reworked. Catherine and her team blend their knowledge of cutting edge trends and fashion history with an individual point of view- always keeping sustainability as a key consideration. We comb through new markets and vintage shops and source items from independent artisans to find the best of the best, curated especially for our clients. We recognize the value of individual style, and honor our collective duty to coexist on and with the Earth.

Our Mission

Affecting positive change and giving back are core values for The Living End, and leaving a meaningful impact on our native Los Angeles and the world at large is one of our top priorities. Our vision seeks to ensure the waste effect of the apparel industry is minimized, and we strive to give back to our community by donating a percentage of proceeds and/or products to various charities in Los Angeles.

About Catherine…

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Catherine is a true California girl at heart. Her style blends the laid back vibe of the beach towns with the sporty-street edge of Downtown, a dash of sex appeal and French girl effortlessness- always dressing for the vibe of the moment. Her deep roots in the fashion industry have seen her in many roles that have broadened her knowledge and passion; from graduating from FIDM, to becoming a Buyer and celebrity Stylist for some of the city’s most-loved boutiques such as the famed Belle Gray by Lisa Rinna, to Designer, Director of Product Development, and Merchandiser for various top contemporary brands. Her purest love comes from simply making things look beautiful, and her unique advantage in a decades long career in the industry is her eye for classically cool pieces that you can keep for a lifetime.
